Privacy Policy English
TimeHolder is developed and maintained by an independent developer. This policy explains how we handle information when you use TimeHolder or send us feedback.
Your app usage records, plans and focus data stay on your device and are not automatically uploaded to us. We only receive the content and selected attachments you choose to send when you submit feedback.
1. Everyday use
TimeHolder reads the list of apps on your device and, with your permission, your app usage records. This lets you choose which apps to manage, apply rules and view statistics. When controls are enabled, TimeHolder identifies the app you are using in the background so it can show reminders or apply limits according to your settings.
Your plans, focus and quota records, reminder text and selected background images are saved in the app's local storage.
This version has no ads and does not use third-party services to analyze user behavior. We do not sell your personal information or use your feedback for advertising or marketing.
2. Why we need permissions
- Usage access: identify the app you are using and measure usage time.
- Display over other apps: show reminders, restriction screens and the optional quota window.
- Background operation: keep your rules running and update local statistics regularly. Statistics tasks can remain scheduled after a device restart.
- Notifications, alarms and reminders: show running status, remind you to resume plans and app schedules, and check plans at scheduled times.
You can change these permissions in your device's settings. If you turn off a permission, the related features may not work properly.
3. Feedback and diagnostic logs
You can contact us at support@timeholder.app. When you submit feedback, TimeHolder opens your chosen email app so you can review and send the message. You can cancel sending or uncheck "Attach diagnostic logs".
The information we receive may include:
- Your description of the problem, your email address and the sender name shown in your email;
- Your TimeHolder version, the affected area you selected and when the problem happened;
- Your device model, system version, time zone and activity logs included in attachments to help us investigate the problem.
These logs may contain identifiers for the apps involved (package names), event times, rule and permission states, and error or crash information. Logs do not read chats or page content from other apps. Diagnostic logs sent with feedback also filter out custom reminder text, plan names and free text in error messages. Anything you type in the feedback message is sent as written, so please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information.
We use this information to investigate problems, improve the related features and reply to you. You can use TimeHolder normally without submitting feedback.
4. Email services
We use Cloudflare Email Routing to forward support emails and Gmail to receive and reply to them. Cloudflare and Google therefore also process the messages, attachments and sender information you send. These services may process information outside your country or region.
Your chosen email app may save or sync drafts even if you do not send the message. You can manage drafts and sent messages in that email app.
You can read the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy to learn how these services handle data.
5. Keeping and deleting data
Local data. Settings and background images are kept until you change or delete them. Detailed statistics are kept for the most recent 120 days. Older data is kept as monthly summaries so you can see longer-term changes. Monthly summaries have no fixed retention period and are kept until you clear statistics or delete the app's data. You can select "Clear statistics" on the statistics page.
Diagnostic logs used for feedback are kept for the most recent 7 days and may be removed earlier if space runs low. If the app stops running, expired logs are cleaned up the next time it runs. A small set of recent activity records is also kept on your device and replaced as new records are created. Temporary attachments created when preparing feedback are cleaned up when attachments are prepared again, or may be removed earlier by the system.
Clearing app data or uninstalling TimeHolder removes the data the app stores on your device. Files you save separately, email drafts and sent messages need to be deleted in their respective apps.
Feedback you have sent. We normally delete feedback emails and the related attachments we keep within 90 days after the issue is resolved. For unresolved issues, we review every 90 days whether the feedback still needs to be kept.
You can also contact support@timeholder.app to request deletion of feedback you have sent. We normally handle these requests within 30 days. If we need to keep information to meet a legal requirement, we will explain why. Email providers clean up their backups according to their own policies.
6. Protecting your data
Local data is kept in TimeHolder's private app storage, and Android automatic backup is disabled for the app. When you send feedback, only your chosen email app is given permission to read the selected attachments.
We use the feedback we receive for the purposes described in this policy and take reasonable steps to protect our mailbox and feedback records. Information sent by email is also protected by the security measures of the email services you use.
7. Updates and contact
If the way we handle data changes, we will update this policy and its update date. We will let you know about significant changes in an appropriate way.
If you have questions about this policy or would like to access, correct or delete personal information you have sent us, please contact support@timeholder.app.
